In recent years, competition in the new energy vehicle market has been fierce, and if you want to choose the one that suits you among so many models, you really have to put in the effort and think it over carefully. For example, in the mid-size SUV new energy market, the Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 both maintain good popularity, so how should these two models be chosen? Today, the editor will talk with everyone in detail about the main features of these two models and see which one is more suitable for you.

The editor will not introduce the exterior design too much, after all, everyone's aesthetic taste is different, and everyone can choose according to their own aesthetic preferences. Let's directly look at the comparison in software and hardware configurations.

The Leapmotor C11 is equipped with 12 cameras and 5 millimeter-wave radars. On this basis, the higher trim models are also equipped with 1 lidar and the NVIDIA Orin-X intelligent driving chip, with total computing power as high as 254 TOPS, enabling higher-level assisted driving functions. These hardware supports allow the Leapmotor C11 not only to have conventional functions such as high-precision maps, intelligent driving assistance, intelligent parking, and sentry mode, but also to additionally provide high-level intelligent driving functions such as highway intelligent navigation assistance and urban cruise assistance, greatly reducing the driver's pressure when driving on highways or in cities.

In comparison, the Deepal S07 is also equipped with rich intelligent configurations, such as lane departure warning, forward collision warning, 360° panoramic image, and L2-level assisted driving, but it is not equipped with lidar. However, the Deepal S07 can be optionally equipped with the Huawei Qiankun ADS SE version to improve performance in highway navigation assistance and intelligent parking assistance, but this also requires an additional payment.

In terms of interior design, both the Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 show their own unique styles. The Leapmotor C11 adopts a simple yet layered design language. A large area of the interior uses Nappa leather, including parts such as the seats, steering wheel, and door panels. Paired with imported suede, it not only enhances the sense of luxury but also gives a good tactile feel. The center console area is equipped with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 10.25-inch front passenger entertainment screen, and a 14.6-inch central control screen. The three screens can interact functionally, providing front-row passengers with a rich visual interface and entertainment experience.

The Deepal S07 adopts a "yacht cockpit" design layout. The center console is simple and clean, equipped with hidden air-conditioning vents and a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, creating a strong sense of technology. It is equipped with a 15.6-inch central control screen. The car does not have a traditional LCD instrument panel, and instead uses an AR-HUD augmented reality head-up display system, which looks more technological, though for car enthusiasts encountering a head-up display for the first time, it still takes time to adapt. In addition, the Deepal S07's front passenger entertainment screen needs to be optionally added.

In terms of power performance, both the Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 offer two power versions: extended-range and pure electric. The Leapmotor C11 extended-range version is equipped with a power system composed of a 1.5L engine + rear single motor, with a total motor power of 200kW (272Ps). Except for the entry-level model, the other extended-range models are matched with a 43.74kWh ternary lithium battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of up to 300km and a maximum comprehensive range of 1210km.

The Deepal S07 extended-range version, however, is equipped with a power system composed of a 1.5L engine + rear motor. The mid-trim model's total motor power is 175kW (238Ps), matched with a 31.73kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the CLTC pure electric range is 215km; the high-trim model's total motor power is 190kW (258Ps), the lithium iron phosphate battery capacity is 39.05kWh, the CLTC pure electric range is 285km, and the maximum comprehensive range is 1200km.

In terms of fuel consumption when the battery is depleted, the Leapmotor C11 extended-range version is 5.2L/100km, and the Deepal S07 extended-range version is 5.7L/100km. From the data, in terms of power level, range capability, and energy consumption level, the Leapmotor C11 extended-range model is more competitive.

In terms of pure electric models, the Leapmotor C11 pure electric version has two range options, 515/580km, with prices starting at 151,800 yuan and 158,800 yuan respectively. The Deepal S07 pure electric version has two range options, 520/628km, with prices starting at 169,900 yuan up to 207,900 yuan for the top trim with 628 kilometers. Comparing models within 200,000 yuan, the Leapmotor C11 has a longer range and higher cost-effectiveness. However, the Deepal S07 supports 3C fast charging, so the charging time is relatively shorter.

In terms of driving control experience, both the Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 show their own characteristics. The Leapmotor C11 adopts a front double-wishbone independent suspension and rear five-link independent suspension combination rarely seen in the same class, making the vehicle's vibration filtering performance and lateral support feedback better under various complex road conditions. At the same time, it is also equipped with high-specification equipment such as 255mm wide tires and front and rear ventilated disc brakes, bringing the driver a more stable and enjoyable handling experience.

The Deepal S07, however, adopts the traditional front MacPherson + rear multi-link independent suspension combination, and the higher trim models use 235mm wide tires and ordinary disc rear wheel brakes. Although the overall performance is mediocre, it remains consistent with mainstream models. From the driving experience, the Leapmotor C11's double-wishbone suspension has better support in corners, and the vehicle is more stable and gives a greater sense of security.

In summary, both the Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 demonstrate impressive strength in the areas they excel in. The Leapmotor C11 has more advantages in intelligent configurations, power performance, range performance, and driving control experience. But the editor feels that the Deepal S07 is more distinctive in exterior design and interior style. Which car do you think is more worth choosing?
