Freelander is an electrified automobile brand jointly created by Chery and Jaguar Land Rover, headquartered in Shanghai. The exterior of the first Freelander is led by Gerry McGovern, Chief Creative Officer of Jaguar Land Rover. While retaining its rugged DNA, it will move toward a younger and more dynamic direction. The new car will be built on Chery's T1X platform, which also produced the Jetour Shanhai T1. Some sources say the new car may also be built on Chery's E0X platform, which also produced the Exeed Sterra ET.
